The League of Humane Voters held its annual Legislative Breakfast on Wednesday, March 16th in Albany. Twelve LOHV hosts from seven different counties of the state – ranging from Manhattan to Buffalo hosted the LOHV-NY breakfast for the 40 senators, assembly members, and key staffers who attended the breakfast session from 8:00 to 10:00. The members of the hosting team sat with the attendees, one-on-one, and went over the bills that the League of Humane Voters is advocating in this session.
After the breakfast, the volunteers, in groups of four or five, met with the chairs of the committees which will review our bills.
Assemblymembers in attendance were: Jonathan Bing, Philip M. Boyle, Mark Johns, Micah Kellner, William Magee, Alan Maisel, Nicole Malliotakis, Joan Millman , Linda Rosenthal, Joseph S. Saladino, Michelle Schimel, Robert Sweeney, David Weprin. Senators who attended were: Greg Ball and Suzi Oppenheimer.
