The LOHV seasons:
Late spring and summer are for data-base building; autumn is for electioneering,
winter is for lobbying. In the 2010 legislative session, we have to finish the work in progress started in 2009. In the 2009 session LOHV was 100% successful in getting our three bills out of their primary committees in the Assembly and ready for a floor vote. In the Senate, our bills got stuck in the EnCon Committee where they are now. The main senators to focus on are the Senate sponsors and the chair of the EnCon committee, Senator Antoine Thompson of Buffalo. (See below.)
As soon as the legislature resumes its session in January of 2010 we must resume
lobbying to get our pending bills out of the Senate EnCon Committee.
